There’s an old saying... ‘Jack of all trades is a master of none,’ but that’s not quite complete. The full quote reads, ‘A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.’ And well, I’m here to prove just that. 

For over twenty years, I’ve cranked through the ranks of the advertising world—from receptionist to creative director. I’ve gone coast to coast, lived town to town. And while I love diving into strategy and ideating for hours on the next big idea, I’ve always felt there was something more for me to do. And more there was.

In 2016, I pursued a lifelong passion and opened Tonya Merke Photography, only to find myself struggling to decide which path was meant for me—design or photography? Until now. For I’ve realized, why not both?
